Stitched Shibori

Stitched shibori is a simple running stitch used on cloth then pulled tight to gather the cloth. The thread must be pulled very tight to work. Each thread is secured by knotting before being the dye process.

This technique allows for greater control of the pattern and greater variety of pattern, but it is much more time consuming. You can stitch any shape, design, or figure you can imagine.  The only restriction in this technique is your mind!
