Sashiko

(pronounced: SA-Shi-KOE)

Sashiko is a simple running stitch used to mend layers of cloth together for warmth and durability. Now it is used to decorate clothing and other items. It is a very meditative art form that brings me a great deal of comfort and inner peace.
